Nitrogen Boost

Nitrogen Boost is a well-balanced mixture of nitrogen-rich materials, including plant-based amino acids, which ensures maximum absorption. Unlike urea and other nitrogen fertilisers applied solely to the soil, Nitrogen Boost is taken up effectively by both foliage and soil.

This makes it a highly effective companion to products like GIBB-GRO Gibberellic Acid, Seaweed, and Pot Humate, further enhancing their performance.

WHAT IS NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOST LIQUID FERTILISER?

Nitrosol Nitrogen Boost is a scientifically formulated blend of high-nitrogen materials designed to maximise plant and pasture uptake.

Plant-based nitrogen is known for its rapid absorption through foliage, with the added benefit of soil absorption, where soil microbes convert it into a form readily accessible through the roots. This results in a combination of fast and slow-acting nitrogen, complementing the action of products like GIBB-GRO Gibberellic Acid, Seaweed, and Pot Humate.

NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOST is similar or equivalent to:

  • NRich (2)
  • N Range (3)
  • Liquid N (4)

WHY NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOST WORKS SO EFFECTIVELY

Scientific research, such as the findings published by Wittwer et al. (1957), indicates that 1kg of nitrogen applied for foliar uptake is equivalent to 10kg of nitrogen applied to the soil.

Nitrosol Nitrogen Boost primarily utilises foliar absorption but also allows for soil storage, providing both rapid and gradual uptake through the roots.

THE BENEFITS OF USING NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOST

  • It can be applied as a liquid alongside other products, such as Nitrosol Oceanic, GIBB-GRO Gibberellic Acid, Seaweed, and Pot Humate. Eliminates the need for separate dry fertiliser spreading runs.

  • Applying granular urea to the soil can result in high nitrogen losses through volatilisation,  especially in the warmer months.

  • Improves pasture quality, and when used with Gibb-Gro during spring and autumn, it can lead to DM gains of up to 30% within 3 weeks.

  • Because lower nitrogen rates are used, it helps stay well below nitrogen caps, reducing the use of nitrogen units by a factor of 10.

  • Plant-based nitrogen, like Nitrogen Boost, stimulates soil biology, including nitrogen-fixing bacteria like Azotobacter species.

  • Provides a sustainable and longer-lasting source of nitrogen.

  • Reduces the risk of overstimulaing microbial activity and altering carbon-to-nitrogen ratios in the soil. Foliar-applied Nitrogen Boost is readily absorved, leaving less nitrogen in the soil.

  • Less prone to leaching, as most of it is taken up through folliage or retained in the soil for root uptake.

  • Deliver quicker uptake and results.

  • The combination of amino acids and plant-based nitrogen in Nitrosol Nitrogen Boost has been shown to be synergistic, enhancing absorption through foliage.

NITROSOL NITROGEN BOOST APPLICATION RATES

Dairy or Sheep/Beef Pasture

Mix 20L/ha with minimum 100L/water per hectare.  This is equivalent to using 120kg of Urea per hectare but without the drawbacks of high nitrogen units and separate dry spreading run.

These are guidelines only for good results but if you are applying lower rates of dry urea then scale back in a similar way.

If you are using with Gibberellic Acid we recommend using 10-15L/ha Nitrosol Nitrogen Boost to achieve similar results in the shoulder seasons.

If you intend to apply straight to the soil prior to cultivation using fertigation or irrigation systems then lower rates (higher dilutions) can be used.

Fertigation

Apply 5-15L/ha at a rate of 200 - 400L/ha of water.  As you get near the end of the irrigation/fertigation period make sure you flush out the system well with clean water including all the mainlines, sublines and internal delivery system.
